Ships are the nearest thing to dreams that hand have ever made
By this far I already start to like it even more so the future for this book is unwritten but still on its way up from my point of view!
This time I documenting from the first crazy idea Carl had in his head and how they learn to know their new boat!
Yanne and Carl travelled around Europe by cycling and must have been though, but something I would like to experience because it sounds so fun and it will be a once in a life time, so why not take the chance? An experience you can place in your backpack and carry with you all day long. That is something I want to do and hopefully I will! If the chance falls down from heaven I will take it without a second thought.
In order to make dreams happen you have to complete the milestones on the way up. Which Yanne actually did in the book, he had decided to buy a boat for them as soon as he was back in Sweden because that was one of their milestones for the sailing trip around the world- without a boat you won’t be able to sail around the world right? I’m impressed of Yannes braveness of buying a boat without telling Carl before he arrived to Sweden. I think that with brave you will come long and succeed in life, because you aren’t afraid to do stupid things or embarrassing yourself!
Carl and Yanne learned to steer the boat by a man they knew, because they was too proud to sign up for the sailing school- without education of sailing, how should you steer the boat? I would never put my foot on a boat less than at sea. I have a hard time to even get on the boat and those times when I do I do it with a fear of the boat to sink. Hands up for Yanne and Carl, who could control their seasickness and managed to be out in the open and learn to sail, I would rather die than put my feet on a boat. But it is a big journey and a lot of braveness running through their veins.
