“Heavy or Pale?”
"Tip: Pack a phrase book for each country you’re visiting or be prepared to mime more than Marcel Marceau."
As the trip began, the two men along with some friends found out the hard way that a dictionary was needed no matter what country they decided to visit. Even though they were in Scotland the simples’ thing became very troublesome.
As Carl was trying to order a beer in a local bar the bartender asked him if you like heavy or pale? Automatically Carl started to compare the Irish beverage strength to the Swedish one, this did not go well with the bartender. They learned that a dictionary is curricula in all countries and languages.
I can personally relate to this incident because I speak Swedish fluently I can understand Danish. However, when I find myself in certain areas the language becomes completely incomprehensible. When asking for direction I was unable to understand a word said by the person even though we are supposed to understand each other.
